Immediately recognisable because of the rocks and waterfall feature by the entrance, it was totally renovated in 2002. In one of the quieter parts of the Levante area it is only 600 metres to the beach and promenade with its cafés & bars.

Each double room is a comfortable haven with a full bathroom and a balcony looking out onto Benidorm's skyscrapers. Equipment includes air conditioning, phone, Sat TV, a safe, electronic door keys and (drum roll) Minibar – just ask at reception. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, there's also 24-hour room service if you need a snack.

If you can tear yourself away from your room we've a plan of inaction all mapped out. Spend the day lounging by the pool with a steady supply of chilled drinks, suntan lotion and hot sunshine. Occasionally rise for a cooling dip or perhaps a workout in the gym followed by a sauna – though this isn't obligatory!
