Benidorm in March

This is the perfect month for golfers. Beautiful spring weather and warm breezes ensure that playing an 18 hole golf course is a joy

The saying goes that 'March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb', so miss the Lion bit with a sunshine break to Benidorm. If you're a golf lover then this is the perfect time to play. Warm enough to play but without the heat of summer. There's a good choice of numerous courses around the Costa Blanca, many within easy reach of the resort and if you wanted to combine a golf holiday with a spa break you can do that too!
Also this is the time of the spectacular Fallas!  Yes more fireworks! It's the Valencian festival that's evolved from the days when carpenters would throw lit pieces of wood in the street, to welcome spring. Now it consists of fabulous papier mache sculptures that are set alight to 'let in Spring'. Celebrations comprising processions, street entertainment and fireworks (loud, banger-ish ones!) run from the 16 March, culminating on the 19th, when the 'Fallas' are ceremoniously burned.
