Palm trees fill the lush green lawns surrounding the lagoon-style pools giving the whole area an oasis-like feel. Swim amongst cascading waterfalls, into hidden corners or under bridges that connect the two pools! Choose your spot, settle down and chill out as you're never far from a refreshing drink or mid day snack from the selection of pool bars and eateries.

Restaurant In the evening, dinner is taken buffet style, with creatively displayed food laid out temptingly in the air-conditioned restaurant. Fans of pizza and pasta will love the hotel's 'Italian Corner' while if you like to see just how your food is prepared don't miss the regular 'show cooking' displays by the talented team of chefs.

All in all, the Melia Benidorm's range of dishes, from simple to sophisticated, is enough to satisfy any appetite.

We had a lovely time, the hotel was brilliant, with great facilities and close to everything. My only negative was that there was some confusion over the bill, I was overcharged and when I pointed it out the receptionist didn’t apologise, so it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

My girlfriend, her two teenage children and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were most impressed with the Melia hotel standards. My family, girlfriend and I are returning again in October for another holiday break. If I could make a small suggestion it would be that to have tea and coffee available after dinner in the main dining room it would be greatly received by the Irish and British visitors who like a cuppa after dinner... See you all soon. Tom Cole.
