an almost totally Latin music affair
Preparations are underway to mount the spectacular concert to raise money and awareness for the Nelson Mandela Foundation for AIDS which is planned for the 21st of August.
Already a delegation from Mandela's organisation has been to inspect the town's football ground where the event will be held. Although the stadium's facilities will have to be amplified, as with the Rolling Stones' concert last year, there will be further logistical problems because of the large number of artists appearing.
The concert will be an almost totally Latin music affair with at least 10 groups from Spain, but dominated by Latin American artists. English speakers needn't worry too much as legendary British group Queen have already confirmed their appearance at the event.
