A special information unit is to be created in Benidorm to help counter any threat of terrorist attack says new National Police boss Alfonso Cid.

The unit will concentrate on co-ordinating information about Basque terrorist group ETA; the anti-terror brigade will be fundamentally the same as the ones which already operate in Madrid, the Basque country, and the south of France, and will hopefully succeed in keeping the streets of Benidorm as safe as ever.
