The latest news we have on the new Terra Natura environmental 'theme park' is that it will open to the public in October.
It comes as we learn that the park has met vital criteria set by zoo and wildlife authorities in order to provide ideal breeding conditions for animals which are in extreme danger of extinction.
Amongst the 200 species of animal which will be housed in Terra Natura there will be examples of around a dozen considered to be extremely vulnerable, including the Indian rhinoceros, the Indian elephant, and the Sumatran tiger, of which there are only 400 left in the world.
