Energy Saving
Published on 24th January, 2004
Benidorm town hall has just started to renew all the control panels which regulate the flow of electricity to the system of public illumination in town.
The new panels, costing €115,000, will not only allow all the lights in Benidorm to be switched on at the same time, but will also give an energy saving of some 30% on previous usage.
So full marks to the council for that, but 'null points' for the energy savings being made down on the Paseo Marítimo at Levante beach, where no less than 293 of the illumination pylons aren't working because the bulbs have fused. Perhaps the council could 'shed some light' on this situation?

Where am I?
