Fiesta Time

Did you know that there are so many Fiestas in Benidorm and surrounding areas that the town has its own special Fiesta Commission?

They’re meeting next week to thrash out a programme of parties and events for 2005 because there are so many – over 80 – that some of them have clashed in the past.

Meanwhile the Christmas, New Year, and Three Kings Fiestas are all well in the pipeline and this year the Benidorm council, which throws a big party for everybody in the Benidorm Palace on New Year’s Eve will be ordering its Cava (about 900 bottles) from the Valencia production area and not the traditional Catalonian area because of a dispute.
