sudden influx of holes and trenches
It's been a quiet news week in Benidorm, so rather than bore you with local politics of the 'he said, she said' variety we thought we'd bring you some gardening news that hit the headlines over the last few days.
The Council has planted 300 square metres of lawn in the Calle (Street) Gerona, as part of the 'Renovation and Maintenance of Gardens and Green Zones' scheme - and there's more to come.
Meanwhile, just up the road in Alfas del Pi, a new mechanical digger has been purchased by the technical department at a cost of €54,000 and will replace the old one which was so old that it was practically useless. Visitors to Alfas can expect to see a sudden influx of holes and trenches over the coming months!
Next week we'll be bringing you the story of a cat rescued from a tree - even if we have to make it up ourselves.
