Ever fancied doing a bit of astronaut training but couldn't be bothered going all the way to Cape Canaveral? Well from this month visitors to Benidorm's Terra Mitica will be able to experience all the thrills of being shot into space when the new 'attraction,' The Giant Frisbee opens for business.
Bosses at the theme park say the new ride will allow people to enjoy the greatest levels of acceleration and G force outside of normal space travel. With a gravitational drag reaching 4 G, far superior to the big roller-coasters, riders' facial features will probably transfer to the back of their heads during the ride.
Situated in the Greek section of the park, the circular ride will spin round 7 times per minute and will reach an angle of dangle of 120 degrees. Its spectacular illumination and size means that it will be seen in action from the centre of Benidorm.
