´no vacancies´signs at New Year
If there was ever any doubt about the popularity of Benidorm during the Christmas and New Year holiday period then it has certainly been dispelled by the occupation figures of its hotels at the moment.
Average occupancy has been running at over 90% over the festive period with figures rising so quickly that some hotels will be putting up the ’no vacancies’signs at New Year.
What makes these statistics even more extraordinary is the fact that at this time of year the Spanish traditionally celebrate at home with the family so that Benidorm’s visitors are mostly foreigners, the vast majority of whom are British, making a return visit to the resort.
