Little Britain - Costa Blanca Style

the style of life is so much more relaxed

The British Consulate in Alicante reckon that there are around 180,000 British residents on the Costa Blanca and that 100,000 of them live in the Alicante province.

It's easy to see why they're here, housing is cheaper, the weather's better, the cost of living is much less than in Britain, the style of life is so much more relaxed, and for the older residents the standard of healthcare is far superior to Britain.

Now of course with communications such as phones and internet being so cheap, not only is it easy to maintain contact with friends and relatives back home, but a new type of resident is migrating to the area, young professional 'telecommuters' who can work via computers from any location. No wonder the number of flights into the airport from Britain is now more than 200 per week.
