But not the sort that you find at a wedding or 21st birthday party. Benidorm council has grand plans for the land where the town's big discotheques are currently congregated, just on the outskirts of town.
To carry out the plans, the discos would have to move, and so the council and Terra Mitica have suggested that the discos move to the land near to the theme park. However the disco owners are not that convinced that it's such a good idea being that little bit further out of the town centre.
Their present position means that clients can whoop it up in Benidorm's many bars and pubs and then stroll to the disco of their choice for the rest of the night. The disco owners say that having to catch buses or taxis to the clubs will discourage people from going and the move will not prove profitable.
They say that if they have to move, then an area closer to town would be better - and they're probably right.
