suspended 30 metres above ground, a loose stone hit his shoulder
Members of the Fire Brigade were called out earlier this week to rescue a climber who had got into difficulties on the nearby Puig Campana mountain.
The incident occurred on the west face of the mountain when, as the young climber was suspended 30 metres above ground, a loose stone hit his shoulder and dislocated it.
Fortunately his companions were able to call for help and the fire brigade soon arrived to help him to Terra Firma where his dislocated shoulder was undislocated (ouch!) He was then evacuated by helicopter to hospital to be treated for light injuries and bruising.
This lucky young man becomes the sixth person the fire brigade have had to rescue from the mountain in a year.
