unique ground breaking design
The new Benidorm Town Hall is going up faster than a bungee rocket. Not that it is being constructed at record speed, but its cost appears to have taken off exponentially!
The building department have just put the paperwork in motion to approve the fourth budget increase since the project started which will add another €2 million to the cost.
This will mean that in exactly four years since the first budget was drawn up the cost will have increased from an original €10.9 million to €26.71 million.
There's a whole list of reasons why more money is needed but most of them come down to the fact that the new building has a unique ground breaking design which has meant that the architects and engineers are pretty well making it up as they go along!
