...the municipal car pound is chock-a-block full to bursting... there's just no room for any more.
Now's the time to park your car illegally on Benidorm's streets without fear of it being towed away.
Why? Because the municipal car pound is chock-a-block full to bursting with over 1500 cars and there's just no room for any more.
It seems that even though an auction is supposed to be held every 6 months to clear out the pound, it's been 18 months since the last one! Meanwhile, our sources say there are between two and three hundred vehicles abandoned round town with nowhere to go.
Reports also suggest that security at the pound itself is somewhat lacking, as demonstrated by the number of radio cassettes no longer present in the cars there, and a wheel-less BMW which most probably had wheels when it was towed in!
