Bijou stories not quite grand enough for their own headline.
A Spanish photographer has won a prestigious award in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2004 competition with a photograph taken off the coast of Benidorm. The photo won the 'Highly Recommended' award in The Underwater World category and depicts a ray fish captured on camera near to the Isla de Benidorm 36 metres down.
Benidorm Hotels are doing really well in improving their quality of service and installations. Now 42% of all the town's hotels are accredited with one or other of the various quality awards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or Q for Quality.
The Terra Natura 'theme park' is investigating how stress affects animals in captivity by studying their involuntary repetition of gestures and actions. The theory is that the animals have too much free time on their paws after having been relieved of the daily struggle for survival in the wild.
