two new 18-hole golf courses and two luxury hotels
Golf fanatics (but not their widows) will be pleased to hear that an accord has been reached between Benidorm council and the company building two new 18-hole golf courses on the outskirts of town by the Terra Mitica theme park.
Up to now the main preoccupation had been the supply of the vast quantities of water needed to keep the greens from becoming browns! Now a solution has been worked out, and two reservoirs will be constructed to store water collected during the wetter winter months, which can then be used in the hot summers.
When the project is completed it will cover 1.6 million square metres and have amongst other facilities, two luxury hotels for well-heeled golfers.
