The Budget

Benidorm council has just set its budget for next year and plans to spend €99 million, 8% more than last year, on keeping the place running.

Included in this total is €20 million worth of investment for improvements to the town which should finally see the long awaited Paseo Maritimo (promenade) along the Poniente beach completed.

The increase in spending will be funded in part by an increase in taxes on houses and cars as well as some state subsidies but we are sure that the new Paseo will be worth every penny.
