In the areas round Benidorm there are several projects on the go designed to make the environment a better place for us all.

In La Nucia local scholars have just planted 500 new trees as a celebration of World Tree Day and the locality will certainly be greener thanks to them.

Meanwhile on the other side of town, the environmental council of Finestrat is producing a catalogue of all the flora and fauna of the area. The aim of the catalogue is not only to provide scientific information for experts but also to give anybody out and about in the area useful information about species such as the eagle or the many medicinal plants which grow there.
