When Bono Comes to Town

Benidorm can cut it with other concert venues

Benidorm will be a town where the streets have no name if the Mayor, Vicente Pérez Devesa, has his way. Sr. Pérez has opened negotiations with Irish rockers and all round good guys U2 to play a concert in Benidorm on their next tour.

There is as yet no fixed date for any appearance by Bono and the boys, but if they needed any impetus to appear here they should take a look at the success of last year's 30,000 sell out concert by the World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band, The Rolling Stones, to see that Benidorm can cut it with other concert venues.
