Benidorm Beach Elbow Room
Published on 13th May, 2005
There'll be plenty of room to stretch out on Benidorm's massive Levante beach this summer. Last year the Government's coastal inspector laid down the law about beach furniture, sunloungers and parasols for example, and this year there'll be more space on the beach.
The inspector said that for every hundred metres of beach covered in sunloungers, there has to be another hundred metres which is completely free of furniture so bathers can relax as they please. Last year this wasn't happening but now the council have been out with their tape measures and found that there's more than enough room.
The survey concluded that of the 2084 metres of the Levante Beach, more than half, 1176.7 metres to be exact, had no loungers and therefore complied with the regulations. Doesn't it make you feel like stretching out on the sand?
