Benidorm Hotels' Good Start to Year

Spain is the most popular foreign destination for British travellers
The Hotel Association in Benidorm is pleased with occupancy figures for the first weeks of the new year. They're one and a half percent up on the same period last year and stand at 68.2%, the majority of whom are British visitors.
Nationally, figures have been released which show that Spain had 53.6 million foreign visitors last year, a 3.4% increase, and as the Sunday Times has pointed out recently, Spain is the most popular foreign destination for British travellers.
Could there be a connection then that 1700 new beds will be added to Benidorm's total stock this year bringing it up to a whopping 39,000 capacity! And there's more, this doesn't include the developments near Terra Mitica where new luxury hotels, including the area's first Five Star Hotel, are being constructed alongside the new golf courses with the collaboration of the Sheraton group.
