Benidorm Investment Potential

20 million square metres of land available
The Mayor of Benidorm, Vicente Pérez Devesa, is obviously pleased at the way things are going on the outskirts of town with the development and opening of a new theme park and a golf complex. The tourist offer of the town is among the best in Europe and its traditional beach and booze image has long since been lost as more luxurious hotels open for a more sophisticated market.
The Mayor has stated that there are 20 million square metres of land available round the town which could house new projects to further increase the range of entertainment and pastimes for visitors to the town. In the centre of town it finally looks as if the new promenade alongside Poniente beach will definitely be constructed after some doubt as to the financial contribution to the project of the Central Government. The Mayor has secured a deal with the Valencian Government to provide extra cash should the Madrid authorities not pay their 40% share so that the project can start this year and be finished in 2007.
