Mare Nostrum
the biggest wave pool in Europe
Terra Natura's new water park is up and splashing and ready to welcome up to 3,500 people in search of aquatic fun every day. The 28,000 square metre site can be accessed at a cost of €5 once inside the main theme park and is packed full of watery entertainment.
There's the biggest wave pool in Europe, complete with rocks, waterfalls and geysers. There are no less than ten slides where you can choose to descend solo or in pairs, at different speeds, or go straight down or through twisty-turny tubes.
The only thing that's missing at the moment is the facility to swim with the sharks and rays in the pool, but by August the special bacteriological filter required to make this possible should be working.
Sounds fantastic but we think we'll stick to watching sharks just where they belong - on the telly!
