What have the Moors ever done for us?

Well, in Finestrat they built the aqueduct, brought fresh water, education, medical knowledge, peace, order and culture to the town. Now the department of Archaeology and Heritage have put together a plan to restore a stretch the aforementioned aqueduct to its former glory.

The objective in renovating the area is not only to create a recreational space with gardens, benches and kiddies' play areas but also to give information about the town's Islamic period through information plaques along the way.

It sounds fun and fascinating both at the same time.
