do not emit any CO2 gases
Benidorm's doing its bit for the environment and complying with the Kyoto accord by investing €300,000 in solar panels around the town. The panels generate electricity as the sun shines on them and with our sunshine record there's sure to be plenty of power to go round. The town hall's Environment Department say that the panels provide a source of cheap renewable energy and more importantly do not emit any CO2 gases which damage and pollute the atmosphere.
