Benidorm Song Contest 2005

The 38th annual edition of the Benidorm Song Contest which will take place next summer has now opened its inscription period.
Would be competitors have to submit a totally original song of less than four minutes duration before the 1st of February. These will be whittled down to the 20 or so, usually from all over the world, that actually perform live in the contest.
This year the winner will receive the Golden Mermaid statuette, €36,000 and will make a record and video clip of the song. There's even a competition with a prize of €900 for the poster to advertise the contest so artists get scribbling!
