Fancy seeing your name writ in large letters bobbing about off the coast of Benidorm? Well you can realise your dream if you've got €9000 to spare because Benidorm Council is looking for sponsors to stump up enough money to maintain and run the 3 bathing platforms moored off the beach.
The platforms were put there by the Valencian Tourist Agency and are a popular feature of the summer bathing scene as they allow users to dive head first into the clear blue seas. However the agency has announced that it is to cut the subsidy to the council to look after the platforms - hence the councils plea for sponsorship of €27,000 to cover costs of the three platforms. So if anyone wants some aquatic publicity just contact the council.
