The Yanks are Coming

Benidorm's newest hotels are making a bold move to attract our cousins from across the pond to our favourite Mediterranean resort. Westin and Sheraton, which currently have two five star hotels and two golf courses (par 72 and par 62) in construction between Terras Mitica and Natura have just had 140 US tour operators over here on a reconnaissance mission.

They hope that the planned facilities at the 'resort' will attract enough yanks to make up at least 10% of the clientele. With the aforementioned golf courses, school and practice area, 12 restaurants, 15 shops, 3 outside pools, spa and even a Jazz club included in the total investment of €95 million they should have no trouble pulling the punters in.

The only thing we're worried about is having to catch a pitcher of Michelob as it flies down the slippy bar top at high speed when we're having a quiet drink at the 19th hole.
