Just to show that Benidorm’s beaches can be enjoyed equally by everyone, both young and old, fit and not so fit, and able bodied or disabled we bring you the following couple of news snippets.
The disabled facilities at Levante beach and Elche Park which aid the entry into the sea, have been used over 15,000 times since last year. This is not only good news for the disabled themselves, but also the resort. Benidorm bosses see these facilities as an attraction to an untapped market of the 50 million disabled people in Europe who live within a 3-hour journey of the town.
On the other side of the beach coin, the super fit sportsmen of the wakeboarding set will be taking over Levante beach on Sunday 3rd September. That’s the day that the annual Cable Ski Wakeboard Championship takes place using the fantastic cable ski facilities. If you don’t already know, wakeboarding is a combination of water skiing, snow boarding and surfing. It should be great fun for all with both amateurs and professionals taking part in various different categories and events. So why not pull up a lounger on the beach and let the others take the strain whilst you sip a cooling drink?

Where am I?
