The bit where we bring you the best bits of the news.
Last weekend's Marc Anthony concert in Benidorm was attended by over 20,000 fans from all over Spain. Their arrival all throughout the day of the concert brought traffic chaos (so what's new?) to the town.
It was a long weekend because of a big national holiday in Spain and Benidorm's hotels were almost full to bursting with an average 95% occupancy rate.
The work on the new Poniente Paseo (or promenade) actually started yesterday. On hold since 2003 the project finally received the financial backing it needed this year and is at last becoming a reality.
Watch out all you speed merchants behind the wheel in Benidorm. There's a new radar system just been installed to catch anyone going too fast. The new generation technology which watches over the Avenida de Foietes has a panel which displays a frownie face when anyone breaks the speed limit of 250 kmph. It will start to dish out penalty points when people get the hang of actually having a speed limit!
