Tiny tidbits of Benidorm information.

The first stone of the new Vila Joyosa to Benidorm tramway electrification has been laid. The 9.4 kilometres of railway line will cost nearly €23 million to modernise for the use of super trams.

The poor baby dolphin (read more here)which was rescued from Benidorm's Poniente beach recently has died from an infection and multi-organ failure. It had been away from its mother too long and wasn't able to recover from the ordeal.

The Benidorm Song Contest gets under way today at the Melia Benidorm Hotel. Today's castings will help whittle the hopefuls down to a final twelve who will sing off at the Benidorm Palace on May 26th.
