Christmas has come and gone so that can only mean two things; it's time to buy our Easter eggs and book our holidays. The world's travel industry springs into action at this time of year with a series of big travel fairs where destinations like Benidorm can promote themselves.
Spain's giant FITUR fair opens in Madrid from 25th to 29th January and naturally Benidorm will have a stand there whose main objective will be to promote the 'beaches, theme parks and nightlife' of the town.
This year tourist bosses have come up with a novel way of getting the Benidorm message across - they're giving away 10,000 glass bottles all containing a message about the wonderful tourism offer of the town.
At 160 square metres the ultra modern stand will be just big enough to hang all the bottles on the wall! We have our fingers crossed that one glass bottle shouldn't accidentally fall, otherwise we'll be singing for the entire five days of the fair.
