The colourful town of Vila Joiosa is a completely different kettle of fish to Benidorm, and especially so next week. The 27th of February sees the start of the 6th annual seafood festival in the town. (Read more about food in Vila Joiosa)
This year nine of the best restaurants in town will be participating by producing the most delicious marine cuisine at prices around the €38 mark. Each restaurant will be preparing a speciality dish for the occasion and every one sounds mouthwateringly good.
During the week, there will be talks and displays on the preparation of fish and seafood from celebrity chefs like Ricardo Sanz de Castro, from the restaurant Kabuki in Madrid, as well as expert advice on wines from Valencia and the Mediterranean coast.
