Levante Beach in Regent Street

attracts over one million Brits every year
Lucky Londoners will get the chance to enjoy Benidorm's fabulous Levante beach this weekend for free. This Sunday the British Capital's famous Regent Street will be converted to a sand covered paradise for the day.
It's part of a campaign to attract British tourists to Spain - the country is now Britain's favourite foreign tourist destination - and it's different areas. Benidorm already attracts over one million Brits every year and is hoping to increase numbers with this promotion.
Tourist bosses will install a massive 12 metre high photo of the beach on the façade of one of the buildings and the 40 cubic metres of sand will have sunloungers and beach brollies just like the real Levante beach.
They reckon that around 350,000 people could visit the 'virtual' beach; we wish them every success in the campaign and hope to see many more Londoners sampling year-round sunshine on the real beach, together with all the many other attractions.
The Benidorm of today has much more than you think!
