Villa Joyosa Up'n'Under

rucking and mauling for 3 days solid

The sweet chariots will be swinging low and the garryowens will be coming down with snow on them at the 20th annual Villa Joyosa International Rugby Sevens competition.

There'll be rucking and mauling for 3 days solid on 26th to 28th of May in the town's rugby stadium as no less than 22 teams go head to head in two competitions, one for clubs, and one for 'International' teams.

The following countries will be represented on the field; Japan, Zimbabwe, Moldavia, Wales, England, Rumania, USA, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain and New Caledonia. In addition clubs from Scotland, Portugal and France will be taking part along with our very own La Vila club.

Tickets are a snip at only €20 for the whole 3 days and include, seat, free parking, use of the bars, snack bar and clothes shop.

Sounds like a great weekend for fans of the oval ball game and reminds me of a story about Brian Noble who asked his new Wigan team to line up in their usual positions and they all stood under the sticks! Boom-boom.
