BM06: Who out, Adams in.
Published on 15th June, 2006
It's all change at the Benidorm Music Meeting this year. The proposed concert by wrinkly rockers, The Who, will not now take place on 30th July. The group have pulled out because their tour of Spain has not seen a satisfactory level of ticket sales to make it worth their while.
Instead, Canadian Bryan Adams has been drafted in to fill the gap, and will perform a day earlier on 29th July. Luckily for the organisers, Mundosenti2, who have been heavily criticised for the handling and publicity for the concert, Adams just happened to be on tour in Spain and was able to slot the show into his schedule.
The venue will remain the same - the Foietes Municipal Stadium in Benidorm - but as yet we have no details of ticket prices as the organisers haven't bothered to change their website!
