There's a distinctly liquid feel to our Benidorm theme park news this week. Splashed across the pages of the local press already is that wet'n'wild Aqualandia water park will open the sluice gates to the public this Sunday for the 2007 season. As always they've spent the winter making changes and new for this year is the 'Grand Jacuzzi Iguazu' which as you can probably guess is a giant bubbly Jacuzzi. It's in the hydrotherapy 'relax' area close by to Niagara. Also new are some slides specially designed for the younger members of the family.
Over at Terra Natura fish fans will delighted to hear that some new species of shark and fish have been brought into the Aqua Natura section of the park. The new arrivals have been in quarantine so
that they can accustom themselves to their new surroundings without too much shock to the system. You'll be able to see wonders of the deep like the guitar fish – so named because its shape is
a bit like a guitar - and examples of nurse and carpet shark like the Japanese wobbegong (which presumably looks nothing like a guitar).
