Bali High
Published on 18th June, 2007
It is isn't it?
The Gran Hotel Bali is Benidorm's and Europe's tallest hotel at 52 storeys high and on Saturday 150 brave (some say mad) people ran up the 936 steps from
the ground floor to the top in the 4th annual race that's become an important part of the Benidorm calendar.
The two €300 first prizes were won by Juan Antonio Fernández (4.53 mins) and Verónica Gil (6.06 mins). This year's race was dedicated to a former winner, Australian Paul Crake, who is now
paraplegic following a fall from his bike last year. The money raised by the competitors will go towards sending him to a thermal treatment complex in Orense.
Well done to all the competitors for such a worthy cause and see you next year.
