The stars were out in Benidorm last week as GMTV came to town. The Benidorm Palace was the venue for the leaving do of GMTV producer Kate Fleming who is quitting the show after 15 years. She and palace boss Christine Climent are friends and business associates, hence the decision to hold the bash in Benidorm.
Obviously some of the stars of the programme turned out too. Former presenters Ross Kelly and Anthea Turner turned up in a mighty stretch limo and obviously enjoyed their moment in the limelight since falling on hard times.
Kelly is now banished to Sunday morning religious telly and poor Turner has been reduced to clearing infestations of roaches and de-ratting other people's houses. Despite the stresses and strains of life with a millionaire husband, La Turner was still able to remember her previous visit to Benidorm some years ago in the days when her job only involved smiling at the camera.
