Cheeky Monkey

the planet's smallest monkey
Just when you thought it was safe to re-enter Terra Natura, Benidorm's big nature based theme park, they come along and announce the birth of yet another cute
furry animal.
This time it's a little baby Pygmy Marmoset (Callithrix (Cebuella) Pygmaea) which has popped into the big wide world. It's the planet's smallest monkey and normally lives in the Amazon jungle near to
sources of water where insects, one of its favourite foods, abound.
Being so tiny, their only defence against predators is sheer speed and they can move from 0 to greased lightning up a tree in about 2 seconds. Lucky visitors to Terra Natura now have a chance to see
the new tiny arrival making trips round the enclosure on its mother's back as it's now just old enough to cling on. Awwwwww.
