Towing the Double Yellow Line

pop out to do the Friday big shop
Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction, and nowhere is this more so than in Benidorm. This week dosey parkers all over town were cheering their heroes from the Guardia Civil Traffic division.
Normally the guys in green are dishing out fines aplenty to those who choose to leave their cars Mary Celeste style – in the middle of the road, engine running, doors wide-open, half-eaten
sandwich on the dashboard – while they pop out to do the Friday big shop.
The other day the Guardia pulled up the council tow truck, which normally removes illegally parked motors to the city car pound, and found that not only was the driver not licensed to drive it, but
the truck itself was not licensed to move other cars.
It appears that there was a mix up in the paperwork due to some confusion as to what service the tow truck was providing. A valuable lesson has been learned by all and now both truck and driver have
the correct permissions to go about their business as usual!
