Benidorm has a new head of tourism. A 'cabinet reshuffle' after the last local elections has seen Angélica Such named as head honcho of what could probably be considered Benidorm's most important department.
She's a 42 year-old lawyer and mother, and is the daughter of a former mayor of Benidorm, Pepe Such. The appointment seems to have pleased all concerned with Benidorm's tourist sector – the heads of the Apartment and Hotel owners' associations, to name but two - who all recognise the need for strong leadership and investment to remain the top tourist destination in Valencia.
One person was particularly pleased and stated that Such's predecessor 'had no idea about tourism!' We wish Sra Such much success in her new post.
