Poniente Paseo Phase II

Last year we reported the start of the works to create the new promenade (paseo in Spanish) alongside Benidorm's Poniente beach. The works had been on the cards for years but had never started because of lack of funds.
The Spanish Central Government had at one time promised some cash which never appeared and the cost of the prom was ultimately underwritten by the regional government in Valencia.
Now the politicians in Madrid have promised to contribute €100,000 towards the cost of completing the paseo in phase 2 of its construction. It's a drop in the ocean compared to the total cost of the project but obviously better than nothing.
We can't wait to stroll along the prom, prom, prom when it's all finished next year.
