It's Raining Men
participate in the World Police and Fire Games
Mention the word firemen and what's the first thing we think of? Men in uniform dashing about fighting fires, rescuing cats from trees and extricating small boys' heads from the park railings- probably. Well now we can all get to see what the firemen of Benidorm and Alicante are like out of uniform "quite literally" as their toned muscular bodies are on show for all to admire in a new calendar for 2007.
The lads are raising funds to participate in the World Police and Fire
Games in Adelaide this coming March and decided to pose 'Calendar Girls' style to get some cash flowing into the coffers. However not all the money is destined to go to the fire fighters as they have
decided to donate a percentage of the sales of the calendars to the charity Infancia sin Fronteras.
The calendars cost a mere €7 – that's only 60 cents a month – and are on sale in Benidorm at the El Cordobés Laundries on Calle Mirador and Avenidada Los Almendros, and at The Wine Barrel branches by the Hotel Don Pancho, the Hotel Pelicanos and the Avenida Mediterranea. They can also be bought on the Firemen's own website and sent anywhere in the world.
So ladies, if you want to see more of the boys just concentrate on these fabulous photos taken by Miguel Martinez Pastor and please don't ring up from your candlelit bathroom claiming that your toe is stuck in the hot tap!
3 January 2007 Stephen White.
