Castles in the Sand

One of the Promenades in Madrid's Retiro Park was converted into a lifelike Benidorm beach yesterday. 
It was all in aid of a grand sand castle building competition with the 120 tonnes of Benidorm sand shipped in specially
for the occasion.
Quite literally hundreds of competitors young and old constructed castles and figures in five areas of the sand – with a little inspiration provided by some professional sand sculptors, and
some impetus from the tempting prize of a weekend in Benidorm and free access to all the big theme parks.
Great fun was had by all and the winner is sure to have a ball in Benidorm and its real beaches!
