4 million journeys by car
This weekend marks the end of the annual Spanish summer holidays and the return to work for millions of people. As you can imagine it's a massive operation for the country's traffic police who reckon that about 4 million journeys by car will be made by people going home.
The police say that in “Operation Return” over half, 2,245,000 of these car journeys will originate in the Valencia 'community' and of these, 870,000 will start from the Alicante area.
The police are forecasting some pretty lengthy traffic jams over the next couple of days.
Isn't it so much easier to go home on the big silver bird??
