No, you needn't worry if you're still taking your shell suit and Mexican sombrero on holiday to Benidorm, this is nothing to do with crimes of fashion!

It seems that the local police are ashamed to go out on patrol in their patched up old uniforms.

Police union representative Inés Martínez has complained to Council bosses that the Cops' uniforms deteriorate more every day and that something needs to be done to about it.

She adds that the uniforms are so old and have so many patches that they have now come back into fashion!
