Ocionía at Terra Mitica

totally free entry

Giant Benidorm theme park Terra Mitica has just opened a new section with totally free entry. The new zone, Ocionía, covers 21,000 square metres and has cost €8 million to construct and is situated by the 'Egypt' part of the park.

Consisting of rides, spectaculars, shops, fast food restaurants and the 'Atalaya' adventure park, Ocionía will operate like a traditional fairground, you don't pay to go in and two of the rides – Infinnito and El Lago – are free, but all the other attractions are pay-per-ride.

Terra Mitica bosses reckon around 300,000 visitors a year will provide a profit of €2.3 million. This is a first for Spain and gives Terra Mitica an edge over other big theme parks up and down the coast.
